Ms. Boucaut has earned her place in the legal world through a rare combination of intellectual rigor, empathy, and diverse professional experience. A member of the Quebec Bar since 2025, she now practices criminal law with Lesperance Attorney Inc., where she brings her passion for justice and human rights to every case she handles, with the same care and commitment whether the matter is simple or complex.
Holding both a Master's degree in International Politics and International Law and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Quebec at Montreal, Me Boucaut first developed an interest in international relationships and global legal issues. For several years, she worked in the cultural and hospitality sectors, including as Communications Coordinator and Box Office Director for the Montreal Philharmonic Orchestra, and later as an Event Coordinator for a luxury hotel. These experiences taught her organization, diplomacy, and the ability to work effectively under pressure — skills that would later serve her well in law.
In 2018, driven by a deep sense of purpose and a desire to make a tangible contribution to society, Me Boucaut decided to return to university to become a lawyer. She began a Certificate in General Law at the University of Montreal in 2019, while working full-time as a Legal Assistant in Family Law. This demanding and courageous career transition marked the start of her true vocation — using the law to serve justice and people.
Continuing her studies at the University of Ottawa, Me Boucaut earned her Licentiate in Civil Law (LL.L.) with Cum Laude distinction in 2024, a testament to her perseverance and excellence. Admitted to the Ottawa Bar School, she stood out for her ability to combine legal precision with compassion — two essential qualities in criminal defense work.
Her early experience with the CISSS de l'Outaouais, Legal Aid in Sainte-Thérèse, and several private family law firms allowed Me Boucaut to develop strong expertise in legal drafting, case law research, case law research, case law research, case law research, short preparation, case law research, court preparation, case law research, short preparation, and procedural management.
It was, however, during her Bar internship at the Gatineau Criminal Law Office, under the supervision of Me Catherine Barrière Gratton, that Me Boucaut discovered her true calling.
Immersed in a passionate and compassionate team, she embraced criminal law with enthusiasm and conviction. Her supervising lawyer once told her: “Me Boucaut, you may not know it yet, but you are a criminal lawyer.” She was right. That experience confirmed that Ms. Boucaut was exactly where she belonged — at the intersection of intellectual discipline, justice, and empathy.
At Lesperance Attorney Inc., Ms. Boucaut distinguishes herself through her thoughtful, methodical, and deeply human approach to criminal law. She firmly believes that everyone deserves fair representation and respectful treatment, regardless of the accusations they face. For her, the practice of law is not merely a profession — it is a moral commitment to truth, dignity, and justice.
Bilingual, organized, and an excellent communicator, Me Boucaut demonstrates exemplary professionalism in every aspect of her work — from case preparation and research to courtroom advocacy. Her colleagues describe her as a dedicated, disciplined, and collaborative lawyer.
Me Boucaut's next challenge is to expand Lesperance Attorney Inc. ' Its presence in the regions of Maniwaki, Pontiac, and Rapide-Lac. She believes that access to justice should never depend on geography, and she is committed to ensuring that individuals in remote areas receive the same high-quality legal representation as those in major urban centers.
Thanks to her devotion and motivation, Me Boucaut will play a key role in the firm's regional growth, as Lesperance Attorney Inc. prepares to open a new office in Maniwaki, with the support of local representatives. This initiative reflects her dedication to making justice more accessible, particularly for vulnerable populations and those facing social or economic hardship.
Her involvement in this regional expansion embodies a vision of law rooted in proximity, compassion, and equality before justice.
Outside of her practice, Me Boucaut is passionate about travel, cinema, music, and sports. She values these interests as essential to maintaining a healthy balance — where intellectual rigor meets curiosity, creativity, and openness to the world.
